The story of one Ukrainian chef…

Anton’s love for the kitchen began in childhood – together with his grandmother, the future chef learned to cook traditional Ukrainian borscht. And when the student surpassed the teacher, he realized what he wanted to develop further.

His university time passed very quickly, because even then Anton was combining his studies with his first, serious steps – from the age of 19 he worked in restaurants in the city of Sumy, gaining experience in large kitchens. A few years later he flew to work in Dubai, where a true love for Asian cuisine was born.

When Anton returned to Ukraine, he learned that an Asian restaurant “Yapi” was opening in his hometown – this was a good opportunity to share his already extensive experience with other employees of the establishment and its visitors, as well as gain new knowledge in culinary activities. Under Anton’s patronage, the restaurant became more and more popular.

But standing still is not about our chef. Another road opened before him – the road to Italy. He had been dreaming about the Italian culinary school “IFSE” for a long time. And now the dream has become a reality.

Again Anton returns to his hometown and helps open an Italian restaurant, combining work at the Asian restaurant “Yapi” and the Italian “Simbiosi”.

Grandiose plans for the future were destroyed by Covid – restaurants began to close, there was less work, borders were closed. It would seem, “hello depression,” but I appeared in Anton’s life, with the same great ambitions. The passion for development, travel and learning a new culture has become our common interest.
